Our trip to the Ukraine left us astonished at the move of God that is arising not only in the Ukraine but the New Soviet Union. People came long distances just to worship God, hear the preaching of His word and experience His power through His presence and prophecy. The hunger for God in the people was so evident. They came for 3-4 hr services, 3 times and day and stayed late into the night. Many of them had jobs to go to the next day, others took days off of work to be there. Because of their hunger and God’s amazing faithfulness, there was a wonderful freedom to worship, preach and prophesy.
One of my highlights was to be able to preach two times. I preached on the Anointing of God and God’s Purpose for Your Life. We prophesied over hundreds of people and God released them into their God given destinies. Many were called into the office of apostle and prophet and others into many promising vocational futures. Our hearts were so blessed to see so many young men and women called into a very serious calling.
I sensed a strong anointing on this nation. It is God’s desire to bring revival that will also spread to other nations of the world , and to do this very soon. In the history of the Ukraine, the hopes and dreams of the Ukrainian people had been striped from them in unbelievable proportions. I believe that God is wanting to return much that has been stolen from them and return to them even greater dreams and visions for the future.
My heart was drawn to the women of the Ukraine. Their lives are very complicated with the fact that alcoholism is very predominant. They are left to deal with the aftermath of living in these situations. The women in the Ukraine want to be free and they depend on God, their Healer and Helper, to be with them. In one healing service, I prayed with my interpreter for a large crowd of many wounded women. Two women I remember in particular had been strangled by their husbands, blood vessels in the back of their eyes had popped and left them with severe loss of eyesight. Another woman’s face and lips were all disfigured with deep scars from the brutality of alcoholism. In one conference session I saw 5 young girls standing to receive from the Lord. It was such a blessing to pray over them and impart to them so they can grow up and be true and called women of God.
God gave us also some fun times. One man that was prophesied over at the beginning of a conference was so touched by God, he continually laughed with the joy of the Lord on him for the rest of the conference. Another man I noticed had the appearance of gold dust all over his face. He shone with a radiance that was hard to explain in words. I approached him and asked him if someone put this gold dust on his face, he said no, it was from God. I then wiped his face and had gold dust on my hands also. The joy of the Lord was just wonderful!!
I was also very moved at the commitment of the leaders and pastors in the Ukraine. Some of their life conditions are difficult and yet they go on pastoring and leading their congregation. Their persistence in following God and their love for their cities is more than admirable. They are true heroes for the Kingdom!
My time ministering in the Ukraine was very life changing. I now have a deep love for the people and also for the great work that God is doing there. This has left me praying every day for the nation of Ukraine and the wonderful, hungry Christians that are so desiring more of the Lord.
I invite you to also pray for this nation and the surrounding nations. I believe we will see in the next few years a great revival in this nation that will change the face of the earth. I believe that this revival, this revolution, is key to the end time, the last days that we as Christians will witness before our Lord returns. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. |
